William & Mary Student Awards
All William & Mary students in Graduate Arts & Sciences who have had abstracts accepted into the Graduate Research Symposium are welcome to submit papers for these awards. Note: VIMS students are eligible for the Visiting Student Awards.
Awards to be offered at the 2025 GRS are subject to availability of funds. The number of awards offered will be determined by the award committee based on the number and quality of submissions.
William & Mary Interdisciplinary Award for Excellence in Research
Open to all Graduate Arts & Sciences students at William & Mary who have submitted a 5- to 6-page paper for consideration for the GRS William & Mary Student Award and have followed all formatting guidelines and instructions on the Award Submissions page. No separate submission is required. The top three papers submitted in the category of W&M Humanities and Social Sciences and the top three papers submitted in the category of W&M Natural and Computational Sciences will compete for the overall top paper award. The papers will be scored by a panel of three judges distinct from the judges who score the papers submitted for the W&M Humanities awards and the W&M Natural & Computational Sciences awards.
- One award of $2,000 and certificate of achievement
