Philip Roessler, Assistant Professor in the Department of Government at the College of William and Mary, is this year's recipient of the Gregory Luebbert Article Award for the best article in the field of comparative politics published in 2010 or 2011 as selected by the American Political Science Association-Comparative Politics section. The article, "The Enemy Within: Personal Rule, Coups and Civil War in Africa," was published in the April 2011 issue of World Politics.
