Paul Manna Named one of Nation's Top 100 Education Policy Scholars
Associate Professor of Government and Public Policy, Paul Manna, has been named as one of the nation's top 100 education policy scholars in the American Enterprise Institute's Edu-Scholar Public Presence Rankings. Rick Hess, Resident Scholar and Director of Educational Policy Studies at AEI, unveiled the 2012 rankings in his Education Week blog on January 4, 2012. Hess explains that the rankings are designed to recognize academics' contributions to public debates about schools and schooling. In addition to providing a framework to recognize scholars' research, Hess's rankings are designed to reflect scholars' influence on the educational policy discourse.

In addition to his many articles and chapters in edited volumes, Professor Manna's most recent book, Collision Course: Federal Education Policy Meets State and Local Realities, was published by CQ Press in 2011. His first book, School's In: Federalism and the National Education Agenda, came out in 2006. Professor Manna teaches classes on public policy and public administration, education policy and research methods.
