Evans a guest on NPR's "On Point"
On February 3, Larry Evans, Newton Family Professor of Government at the College, was a guest on “On Point,” a nationally syndicated talk show about public affairs and politics on National Public Radio. Evans appeared with Thomas Mann, a senior scholar at the Brookings Institution, to discuss recent developments in Congress. Tom Ashbrook, host of the program, asked Evans and Mann a range of questions about the causes and consequences of party polarization, the effects of the Senate filibuster, and the prospects for the passage of health care reform and other major legislation during 2010. The show was broadcast on more than 150 public radio stations around the country, including WAMU in Washington, D.C., and WNYC in New York. An on-line audio recording of the one-hour session is available.
