Courses in Latin American Studies
The Latin American Studies program is interdisciplinary. This means that you will take courses from several other departments. In order for a course to count towards your major, it must first be approved.
All courses listed below are approved and can be used towards an LAS major or minor. This is a list of courses that are approved for the upcoming semester. The content of some topics courses change, and not every course is taught every semester, so this list will change every semester. Regularly scheduled courses that fulfill the different requirements are listed in the Undergraduate Catalog, on the page that details the major requirements.
Please note that any courses not cited as cross-listed with LAS are listed in the Undergraduate Catalog and will count for LAS credit. If you have any questions, please feel free to make an appointment to talk with the LAS program chair about your schedule.
