Study Abroad
The cultural education gained by studying and living in a Spanish-speaking country could be the single most valued and appreciated experience of your undergraduate career. Hispanic Studies faculty have developed three study abroad experiences uniquely tailored to the Hispanic Studies curriculum:
- Summer in Cádiz, Spain
- Summer in Palungo, Ecuador
- Semester in Seville, Spain
- Semester in La Plata, Argentina
You may also go to Spain through the Santiago de Compostela program. This program combines walking the Camino de Santiago with coursework and research. Courses are taught in English, so may not apply towards a Hispanic Studies major. This program is open to all majors.
All William & Mary Hispanic Studies study abroad programs carry W&M credit and could count towards the degree.
Note: At least 15 credits of the Hispanic Studies major must be taken at the W&M (i.e. not abroad). Please keep this requirement in mind as you make plans to study abroad.
