Bengaluru, also referred to as Bangalore, is the capital of the Indian State of Karnataka, in which over 8 million people call home. The city is known as the "Silicon Valley of India" or as the "IT capital of India" due to the large number of IT companies headquartered there. In addition to these monikers, Bengaluru is also referred to as the "Garden City of India" due to the large number of public parks in the city, including a large botanical garden. Bengaluru is also the home of the National Law School of India University where WM students are hosted.
