Join Us in Fighting Asian Hate: A statement from the AMES community
We, the AMES (Asian and Middle Eastern Studies) community of students, staff, and faculty, are shocked, outraged and saddened by the March 16th shootings in Atlanta, GA in which eight people died, including six women of Asian descent.
We stand in active solidarity with our APIA colleagues and their statement calling on all of us to demand justice and to stop these acts of racism, as well as the statement released by President Rowe and Provost Agouris. And we also ask that you all join us in fighting the rise in misogyny and hate crimes against people of Asian descent and in combating all structures of white supremacy
