Approved Electives for the Data Science Minor
The courses listed below are pre-approved to meet the elective requirements for a minor in Data Science.
Many departments and programs offer special topics courses that may be appropriate (e.g. BIOL404, BUAD492, CSCI320, CSCI420, ECON400, GOVT390/391, and MATH 459.) However, these courses are not pre-approved and you must follow the process outlined on the Data Science webpage about how to get electives approved for the minor requirement.
Students are encouraged to select electives which either complement their major, or further develop their expertise in Data Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
As this list may change over time, students and the department will verify selections at the time of minor declaration.
