Biography
Dr. Antonio Mastropaolo is a PhD graduate from Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Switzerland, where he immersed himself in Swiss culture for approximately four years. Prior to this, he earned a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Software Systems Security from the University of Molise, Italy. Feeling that Italy and later Switzerland were too limiting for his aspirations, Antonio chose to further his career by crossing the ocean and joining W&M as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. Antonio's research focuses on software engineering (SE), specifically on automating SE-related practices such as bug fixing and program repair to improve the quality of software systems. His work has been recognized at prominent software engineering forums, including the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE), the International Conference on Automated Software Engineering (ASE), and Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE), among others.
