Alumnus Receives NSF CAREER Award
Song Jiang, who received his doctorate from the department in 2004, was awarded an NSF CAREER grant for his proposal titled Building Virtual Devices with QoS Assurance in a Consolidated Storage Infrastructure.
Song is currently an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Wayne State University.
This brings the number of our doctoral students who have received NSF CAREER awards to six: Tracy Camp (Ph.D., 1993), currently at Colorado School of Mines; Subhendu (Raja) Das (Ph.D., 1993); Jean Mayo (Ph.D., 1997), currently at Michigan Technological University; Andy Miner (Ph.D., 2000) currently at Iowa State University, Songqing Chen (Ph.D., 2004), currently at George Mason University; and now Song Jiang (Ph.D., 2004).
