Award-winning Greek class
In Spring Semester 2009, students in William & Mary's Greek 102 Class (Introduction to Ancient Greek - Second Semester) took part in the first annual College Greek Exam for first-year Greek students, and their results were spectacular. The class as a whole scored fifteen percentage points above the national average, and two students, Irene Morrison-Moncure and Zach Mott, were awarded medals for scoring above 90%, a feat acheived by only 13 out of the 311 students who took the test nationwide. Ms. Morrison-Moncure was also awarded a certificate for the highest score in the class. Six other members of the class were awarded ribbons for their high scores.
