"Attitudes, Perceptions, and Knowledge of Polio Immunization workers in India"
The objective of the project was to gain insight into India's Polio Immunization Program. Its eradication effort has failed to eliminate the disease from two states, though the rest of the country remains mostly free of the disease. Using questionnaires, immunization workers were interviewed and asked to answer questions ranging from their knowledge (field immunization protocol, polio incidence in the country, etc.), Perceptions (How does the community respond, etc.), and their attitudes of the program (How they felt about the program, were the frequent rounds fatiguing workers?). The information acquired will hopefully aid in improving the immunization program, as very little research has been done in this area thus far.
