Beckman Scholars Program
Established by the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation, this program recognizes exceptionally talented researchers in Chemistry, Biology, or Applied Science. William & Mary was one of the original 20 institutions selected for this program and remains a frequent recipient of this prestigious award.
Award Benefits and Support
The Beckman Scholarship is designed to provide comprehensive support for a student’s research journey over an extended period. The award includes:

Research Stipends: Funding for two full summers of undergraduate research.

Scholar Responsibilities
Being named a Beckman Scholar is both an honor and a commitment to the scientific community:

Mentorship: Scholars work under the close supervision of a faculty mentor and are required to mentor junior students within their lab.
