Bernadette Aylward
Herbarium Assistant
Bernadette Aylward began working volunteering at the herbarium in the spring of 2011 as a freshman at the College of William and Mary. Since her sophomore year Bernadette has been an Herbarium Assistant, and works by mounting specimens on archival paper, entering specimen data into the WILLI database, and performing other tasks to assist the curator.
In the summer of 2013, Ms. Aylward worked at Brown's Park National Wildlife Refuge in Colorado doing invasive plant management through the Student Conservation Association.
Bernadette graduates in May 2014, and in the summer will be a teacher's assistant for Fast-Paced High School Biology as part the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University.
