Replacing Images and Document Files
Image and pdf files are content. Like all content, they need to be updated on a regular basis. But, because they are files that are created and edited outside of Cascade, the new versions have to be brought into Cascade before people can see them on your website. Here's how to overwrite an old file with a new one so that existing links and relationships are preserved:
- Select the current file in Cascade.
- Edit the current file.
- Choose the new file on your computer to replace the old one.
- Submit.
- Publish. If you've replaced an image, all pages where that image occurs must publish before the new one shows up.
That's it. You don't have to go through and fix links. You don't have to edit a page to point to the new image. Just replace or overwrite the old one.
