Biography

Margaret Perry is an MA student in American Studies whose research investigates historical conversations about minds, bodies, and institutions. Most recently, in tracking the path of the earliest American psychiatric facilities and their inhabitants, she has been working at positioning the patient within the landscape of nineteenth-century asylum historiographies and interrogating how Americans tell institutional stories today. She works full-time in public history.
