About the Series
The Arts & Sciences Inclusive Inquiry Speaker Series brings transformational organizations and speakers to our community to explore shared values toward inclusive impact, engage with diverse perspectives, and enhance our inclusive teaching and research practices through community dialogue and collaboration.
For the 2025 series, the award-winning author and artist Lynda Barry will present her keynote The Unthinkable Mind: Art in Ordinary Human Experience, in addition to hosting a faculty workshop.
Lynda Barry
Lynda Barry, award-winning author and artist, joins us in February for the 2025 Inclusive Inquiry Speaker Series.
Lynda Barry has worked as a painter, cartoonist, writer, illustrator, playwright, editor, commentator and teacher and found they are very much alike. The New York Times has described Barry as “among this country’s greatest conjoiners of words and images, known for plumbing all kinds of touchy subjects in cartoons, comic strips and novels, both graphic and illustrated.”
Lynda Barry, Graphic Novelist, Cartoonist, and Educator | 2019 MacArthur Fellow
