Communication with Faculty & Staff

In alignment with the Dean's office principles of communication and responsiveness, we seek to provide regular, timely, and transparent communication to keep all members of the Arts & Sciences community in the loop and aware of important updates in A&S and across the university.

The two primary means of communication from the Dean's office are:

  • Weekly messages each Friday from Dean Raitt during the semester
  • New for fall 2024: Inside A&S monthly email newsletter

Additionally, A&S vice deans send a twice-monthly message to chairs and program directors with important administrative information and upcoming deadlines.

At the end of each academic year, A&S faculty and staff receive the A&S Year in Review summarizing the year and celebrating achievements of the A&S community.

  • Messages from the Dean

    In addition to informational emails throughout the semester, Dean Suzanne Raitt sends a weekly Friday message to the faculty of Arts & Sciences during the academic year. The weekly messages provide important news and updates, reminders, and occasionally a bit of humor.

  • Inside A&S Newsletter

    The Inside A&S monthly email newsletter provides an opportunity to stay informed and share your news, event or updates. You can submit to the newsletter and view message archives.

  • A&S Year in Review

    The A&S Year in Review provides an annual look back at achievements and accomplishments for each academic year, celebrating faculty and staff, and highlighting the hard work of the Arts & Sciences community.
