Favorite Spot

The Wren Portico is, in my humble opinion, the best “postcard spot” we have on campus. The view of the Sunken Garden from this porch is unbeatable! As a tour guide, it’s my absolute favorite stop as it is home to our numerous historic firsts and central to our current, vibrant traditions. It represents everything I love about W&M and why I came here. The best part is when you stand on it and look out, it feels as though you can practically see all of W&M. And when the sun hits the trees in just the right way, it’s as though the whole campus glows green and gold.
