Favorite Spot

My favorite place on campus is the courtyard nestled between Washington Hall and the Jefferson dorms. During the second semester of my sophomore year, I'd walk past this courtyard to pick up my best friend on our way to Kimball for dance performances, and that walk really solidified our friendship. Though not the easiest to find, this little alcove is always peaceful, with an oak tree giving the perfect amount of shade to the picnic table below it. This is a great spot to go to take a breath during a busy day, to chat with friends, or to sit and read—and it's definitely my favorite spot on campus.
