What's with the Photo:
I love to run! I've run over 10,000 miles including more than 29 half marathons and 7 marathons. My ultimate running goal was to run the Marine Corps Marathon, which is close to my heart as my father is a retired marine and we have a deep military family. On October 31, 2010, I finished the Marine Corps Marathon for the first time, my first marathon, and cried when the young marine put the medal around my neck.
Why Admissions:
As as student at W&M, I knew I wanted to come back to work for the university. I envisioned being a professor. I quickly found that I do not have a gift for teaching but do have a a gift for data and process management. So I initially came to the university as the director of alumni records and informations systems and after 13 years at the end of the lifelong relationship spectrum, I decided I wanted to be involved at the beginning. I love working with students, helping families and applicants navigate the admission process. I believe I lend a slightly different perspective as the parent of a recent W&M graduate as well.
Why W&M:
I applied early decision to W&M over 30 years ago and have never really looked back. I think the two things that stand out for me about W&M are the deep sense of community, complete with truly lifelong, often multigenerational, relationships and the tremendous diversity of this community.
Fun Facts:
My favorite place in Williamsburg is the trail behind Jamestown High School.
I'm the 4th of 6 children, 3 of whom graduated from W&M!
I love anything Irish and dream of operating a pub in Ireland.
Music makes me happy, but I can't carry a tune in a bucket, so I settle for listening to it on Spotify.
