Merit Awards for Incoming First-Year Students
In addition to need-based financial aid awards, the Office of Undergraduate Admission confers three merit-based awards: the 1693 Scholars program, the William & Mary Scholars program and the James Monroe Scholars program. All applicants (both Early Decision and Regular Decision) are automatically considered for these merit-based awards. Finalists for these awards are notified in March of their senior year.
Additional scholarships offered by William & Mary include varsity athletic recruitment scholarships through W&M Tribe Athletics, and the Sharpe Community Scholars Program for which any enrolling student can apply.
