Underload and Part-Time Enrollment
Undergraduate students must enroll for at least 12 academic credit hours per semester to receive the full amount of available financial aid. Undergraduates who obtain written approval from the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs for an underload or were admitted to W&M under a FlexTrack designation may receive a reduction in costs. However, the reduction in costs may impact your eligibility for financial aid.
In order for the financial aid office to make updates to your cost of attendance (as well as any possible adjustments to your financial aid eligibility), you will need to complete the Undergraduate Self-Reported Enrollment Plan form for the current aid year. This proactive notification of your enrollment intentions will allow us to let you know of any changes in your financial aid eligibility as soon as possible. Otherwise, revisions will be made, and any eligibility changes will be sent to you when underload or FlexTrack billing changes are received from the student accounts office.
