Fall 2021 Golden Griffin Recipients
Chris Ladnier - Office of the Vice President for Student AffairsCore Values: Collaboration, Professional Excellence Cris' knowledge of the university and generous, giving spirit really shined over the past 17 months of the pandemic. Not only did Chris manage the affairs of the Vice President's Office remotely, but she also volunteered to answer all calls that came in to W&M's central switchboard for the past year and a half! Additionally, when the Cohen Career Center was down a critical staff member, Chris willingly stepped in to serve as their primary fiscal manager until the position could be filled. No sooner did that special assignment end, then Chris was asked to step in and provide administrative support to the Dean of Students Office. For months, Chris learned the Dean of Students Office systems and processes and added her skill and effort during a time when that help was desperately needed. Chris has always been a steady presence in the VP's office, but this past year she helped the whole university and the division stay afloat during a time of tumult and great need. We are very lucky to have her as a colleague!
