When Zara Fina Stasi thinks about her time at William & Mary, she thinks about the experiences she gained inside and outside of the classroom. As a student, she was chair of the Undergraduate Honor Council, worked for Residence Life and served as a Spotswood tour guide. “All of the opportunities I took outside of the classroom taught me about empathy and what it means to do it, be it and practice it,” she says. “I use those skills daily in my career.”
As the artist and founder of Good for the Bees, Zara uses art as a tool to help people thrive. She does this through her mural work, illustrations, paintings and capturing of live events. Starting a new business was out of Zara’s comfort zone because the challenge wasn’t just about her creative skill, but her ability to be an entrepreneur, create a brand, grow and network.

“For those who want to bring their full selves to what they do, the way William & Mary is structured can help you, test you and push you out of your comfort zone,” she says. The university gave Zara the confidence to trust her logic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, but also how to work with others and treat everyone with respect.
