Intramural Officials
As an Intramural Official, your job is to serve the students, faculty, and staff of William & Mary by officiating Intramural contests and maintaining an atmosphere supportive of friendly competition. Your leadership has direct influence on all participants and provides a fun, safe, and competitive environment. The example you set, the manner in which you answer questions and give directions, and the way you offer assistance will contribute to or detract from the services provided by the Department of Campus Recreation.
Officials InformationAttendance at the officials meeting, clinic, and scrimmage are mandatory to be considered for an intramural sports official position. Please check the chart below for the dates, times, and locations of each sport's officials training. Prior to attending the first meeting, be sure to complete an online application (links below) and review the general job description. The online applications are linked to the names of each sport below for you to apply to the sport of your choice. All training's are open to everyone, the online applications are used to get a sense of the number of people to expect and the background/experience of potential officials. Selections for officials will be made based upon pre-season test scores, performance at pre-season clinics, and evaluations at live scrimmages. |
