Let's face it, links can be long and clunky. It's nice to have short, clean URLs when sharing them in emails, on social media and elsewhere. William & Mary Information Technology has developed an easy-to-use short URL generator that also provides some W&M branding, making it clear to your audiences that the link is "official". Use of this tool is intended for W&M-related purposes that adhere to university website policies.
How to use
- Copy the full URL you wish to shorten.
- Visit go.wm.edu.
- Paste the URL into the "Your URL" field.
- Select "Generate Short URL"
- Copy the short URL that appears.
Note: A QR Code will be automatically generated that also points to your link, should you decide to use one of those in your materials. If you need a large, vector quality image of the QR code, you can contact [[support]] for assistance.
