Supporting Women-Led Livelihood and Conservation Initiatives in Southern Kenya

Bio

Sharanya Dutt '28 (she/her) is from Leesburg, Virginia, but she believes home is found in people rather than places. With family ties around the world, she has grown up immersed in travel, developing a deep appreciation for cross-cultural engagement and global perspectives. Her passion for these experiences blossomed in high school, where she not only traveled extensively but also hosted international students. Through these experiences, Sharanya discovered her strengths in data-driven research and creating innovative solutions to global challenges.

Now, as a member of the IIC’s Year-Long Research Program, Sharanya is excited to contribute to international conservation efforts. She looks forward to conducting data-driven research with a cross-cultural focus in Kenya and is eager to grow alongside the IIC team and their impactful initiatives.
