William & Mary announces 2009 football game times
William and Mary Director of Athletics Terry Driscoll announced the game times for the Tribe's five home football games for the coming season.
W&M will come into the season looking to build on the momentum of a 2008 campaign that saw it finish with a 7-4 record and a No. 20 final national ranking. The Tribe will return a host of talent in 2009, including 15 total starters (seven on offense and eight on defense).
Led by head coach Jimmye Laycock, the College opens the home schedule on (Sept. 12) with a night game against Northeast Conference foe Central Connecticut State in a game that will kick off at 7:00 pm. Two weeks later, the Tribe will play host to Colonial Athletic Association arch-rival Delaware for a Family Weekend contest to be played under the lights with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
The Tribe will host conference rival James Madison for what will be Homecoming weekend on Oct. 24 in a game that is scheduled for a noon start to accommodate regional television coverage.
The College's final two home contests of the season will be played at a slightly different time than in recent years, as both the Towson (Nov. 7) and New Hampshire (Nov. 14) games will feature a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
