Performance in classes will not be a criterion.

To be awarded to the senior(s) with the highest demonstrated achievement in physics. The selection will be made by the undergraduate committee at the end of the fall semester, based on the entire academic record, the preliminary oral and written presentations of the senior research project, and two letters of recommendation. The amount of the award may vary from year to year, but will generally be higher than the amount of the second award.
