Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Q. Billmann

Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Billmann assumed duties as the Professor of Military Science at William and Mary in July 2024 and brings more than two decades of experience to the program. He began his military career as an Engineer in 2004, following commissioning from Rutgers University. A career Engineer, LTC Billmann's assignments range from the Tactical to Strategic level. He served as a Combat Engineer Platoon Leader, Engineer Company Executive Officer, Sapper Company Commander, Engineer Battalion Operations Officer and Executive Officer and Deputy Engineer for US Army South. Additionally he has served with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as a Mechanical Engineer in Portland District USACE and as the Deputy Commander in Buffalo District USACE. His operational experience includes two combat deployments to Afghanistan, disaster response and hurricane relief operations and a variety of multinational and joint exercises. LTC Billmann holds a Bachelor's in Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and Master's in Science in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

LTC Billmann is a New Jersey native and proud father of four sons, Boden, Riggs, Sloane and Radley who he raises with his wife, Amanda, an Occupational Therapist originally from New Jersey.
