Motion Medix Named Most Engaged Launchpad Venture
Johnny Clapham, a computer science Ph.D. student advised by Prof. Gang Zhou in the HealthComp research group, has led Motion Medix to being named the Most Engaged Launchpad Venture by the W&M Entrepreneurship Hub. This recognition highlights the team's exceptional commitment, participation, and progress in the Venture Acceleration Program under Johnny's leadership and Dr. Zhou’s mentorship.
Supported by research funded by the NIH and VIPC, Motion Medix develops wearable devices to treat Parkinson’s symptoms and reduce fall-related injuries. Johnny will accept the award on behalf of the company at the Hub’s Demo Day on November 22, celebrating achievements across William & Mary’s entrepreneurial community.
