Who Am I?
I was raised in Carmel, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Individualized Studies, specializing in English and Entrepreneurship, from Miami University. No, not Florida! Miami University is located in the small town of Oxford, Ohio. I also studied painting while at Miami and pursued a minor in 2-D studies to include my passion for art.
Why Admissions?
Working in higher education has always appealed to me. It is an important decision for a student to choose which university they want to begin their journey. To be a part of that decision is an honor and extremely rewarding! Whether it is introducing a student to W&M or furthering them along in the process of admission, it is fun and exciting.
Why W&M?
Beginning when I was young, my parents took the family on trips to Williamsburg multiple times a year. I always admired the historical significance and beauty of William & Mary, as well as the school’s neighbor — Colonial Williamsburg. William & Mary has the fantastic atmosphere of a close-knit college community, while also enjoying the local aspects that a city like Williamsburg has to offer. Not only is the campus beautiful, but the undergraduate studies offered here are incredible. The opportunities in extracurricular activities and athletics also support the fact that William & Mary is THE place for a unique experience.
Fun Facts:
- I have three sisters, including an identical twin.
- I studied abroad twice during undergrad. Once in Paris, France and the second time in London, England. While abroad I would travel on weekends to other areas, including Scotland, Italy, and the Netherlands.
- I have an extreme fear of flying. And heights.
