St Andrews - W&M Joint Degree Program: Visas
Below is a chart outlining the visa process for students participating in the St Andrews – William & Mary Joint Degree Program. The chart is organized by year, citizenship, and home institution (i.e., where you began the program). To read the chart, look at the year of participation and follow the line corresponding to your citizenship (US, UK or All Other) to the column corresponding to your home institution.
For example, for year 1 of the program, a US citizen starting at St Andrews (St Andrews is their home institution), would require a UK student visa to study at St Andrews. For year 2 of the program, they would require no visa to study at W&M (because of their US citizenship) and the UK student visa would be maintained through St Andrews.
US visa matters for study at William & Mary are handled by the Office of International Students, Scholars & Programs (ISSP). UK visa matters for study at St Andrews University are handled by the Global Office.
