Women's Network
Welcome!
The Women's Network provides support to university employees, including instructional faculty, administrators, professionals, operational, classified, and hourly. We help newcomers learn the ropes and the folkways of this special institution, socialize with each other, celebrate our successes, and (occasionally) advocate for each other when things get tough. The Women’s Network does not discriminate on the basis of sex, and all employees interested in our work are encouraged to participate.
In recent years, the Women's Network has provided information to the administration on issues relating to family leave, resources at the Campus Child Care Center, varsity athletics, the sexual harassment policy, the consensual amorous relationship policy, fringe benefit issues, salary equity, and partner/spousal hiring. We also sponsor workshops on topics of interest, such as personal finance and leadership. In addition, the Women's Network hosts several informal gatherings each year at which members can meet and enjoy one another's company.
Most importantly, we provide a forum to meet and discuss their common interests and concerns. Let us know of ideas, suggestions, questions, or concerns that might be addressed by the Women's Network.
