Faculty Assembly
The Faculty Assembly of William & Mary is the elected faculty body that regularly advises the President and the Provost on matters affecting the welfare of the university and that ensures effective faculty participation in the governance of the university as a whole.
The Assembly represents the five faculties of the university: Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Law, and Marine Science, and seven constituencies: Arts & Sciences Areas I, II, and III, and Business, Education, Law, and Marine Science.
The Assembly has twenty-one voting members: four from each of the three Areas, two from each of the professional schools, and the faculty representative to the Board of Visitors. An non-voting NTE member will be added if all of the elected members are all tenure-eligible.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, meetings will be hybrid with both in-person and Zoom options available. Meetings will be held predominantly in the seminar room on the third floor of Chancellor's, and Zoom links will be posted with the meeting agenda.
