W&M Board extends contract for President Reveley
The William & Mary Board of Visitors unanimously approved a resolution Friday extending the contract of President Taylor Reveley through June 2018.
“We are delighted that President Reveley has agreed to this extension,” said Todd A. Stottlemyer ’85, rector of William & Mary and chair of the Board of Visitors. “His leadership in so many areas has been crucial to the university’s sustained excellence. The Board looks forward to our continued partnership and success.”
Reveley, whose previous contract was set to expire in 2017, was named William & Mary’s 27th president in September 2008.
“It is an extraordinary privilege to serve iconic William & Mary,” Reveley said. “I look forward to continuing to work with the university community — students, faculty, staff, board members, alumni and friends — to make our university a place of increasingly powerful teaching, research and learning as well as place of abiding association and meaning for our alumni and friends.”
