Statement by William & Mary President Taylor Reveley
It is truly grand that Mitchell Reiss is returning to Williamsburg. We know him well and wonderfully at William & Mary. Few mortals have the range of experience Mitchell has amassed as a college president, dean of international affairs, senior diplomat, teacher, scholar and author. Mitchell will be a powerfully effective leader of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
Colonial Williamsburg loses an extraordinary leader in Colin Campbell, who has done great good for the Foundation and been a pillar of strength in the Historic Triangle as a whole. Colin has also been a devoted friend of William & Mary and a member of our Board of Visitors. Ties between the Foundation and the College have never been stronger.
We do welcome Mitchell Reiss warmly, and we express our great appreciation to Colin Campbell.
