Message on Taylor Reveley's extended contract
W&M Rector Todd A. Stottlemyer ’85 sent the following message to the campus community on Nov. 22, 2013 - Ed.
Dear William & Mary Community,
I write to share some terrific news. During meetings this week, the Board of Visitors unanimously asked President Taylor Reveley to continue beyond the term of his current contract. I am very pleased to announce he agreed, and our university will benefit from Taylor’s leadership through at least June 2017.
Since he became our 27th president in 2008, Taylor has been a driving force at William & Mary. He led strategic planning efforts on campus and worked with the Board to develop a new operating model ensuring William & Mary’s future will be as bright as its storied past. Taylor continues to push forward implementing The William & Mary Promise as well as build on the momentum of last year’s record-breaking success in fundraising.
