Strategic Planning
Strategic planning advances William & Mary's educational vision, mission and values by addressing our most pressing challenges and by seizing our most promising opportunities. On September 23, 2021, President Katherine A. Rowe presented the framework for Vision 2026 — building on a two-year generative planning process that engaged the entire university community.
Vision 2026
In the next five years, William & Mary will move forward Vision 2026 to expand W&M’s reach, educate for impact and evolve to excel. Our plan will require all the hearts and minds of our exceptional institution to advance W&M's distinctive excellence.
Vision 2026 aims to:
- Advance W&M's distinctive excellence to raise our national and global profile in a rapidly changing world;
- Create long-term financial sustainability and an operational model commensurate with the high caliber of W&M’s educational enterprise;
- Capitalize on positive gains from our effective pandemic response to propel W&M forward.
